These two iconic mountains are seen from the Refuge de Montenvers, in Chamonix, in the border of France with Italy.
This is the home of the fast-retreating Mer de Glace glacier. I have used a mix of four pan pastels for the sky and charcoal to sketch the mountains plus soft pastels to paint them.
