"Awe Mommy...I Wuvs You"

A touching moment between a Mother Fox and her Baby. I worked from a reference photo on a page called Free Reference Photos For Artists. I used a myriad of pastel pencils including Caran D'Ache, CarbOthello, Pitt Pastel Pencils along with Pan Pastels and Pearlescent Pan Pastels for the background. I also used Rembrandt and Sennelier Soft Pastels for the absolute white and black details (which are but a few because I leave those colours until the very last moment so as not to "detract" from the way the fur lays and what I hope is the realism of the painting itself.
