Good Morning

Good Morning is a painting of my dog, Archie, watching a squirrel in the morning light. My goal was to take a photo of him that showed the special light we share most mornings on our walks. I also wanted to capture the quiet focus he had on the squirrel. I learned to soften details in the asphalt background to bring attention to his head and eyes. His portrait was painted on UArt using a combination of Unison, Girault and Sennilier pastels.
