Izzy, an Irish Wolfhound, belongs to an artist friend of mine. This painting was a surprise for her. My inspiration was the intensity of Izzy's big shiny eyes in contrast to her tumbled shocks of colorful gray coat. I wanted to create the feeling I had when I took her photo. I couldn't look away! I used UArt 400 paper. My pastels were a combination of Girault, Unison and Sennilier.
