Autumn on the Clarkfork River

West of Alberton, MT along the Clarkfork River, the Tamarack were donning their fall colors before dropping their needled. The fall colors were electric and reflected into the river. I created texture with Art Spectrum ColourFix pastel primer before beginning this piece, planning less texture in the sky and tried to capture the texture of the foliage. I am intrigued with the texture that the brushes and primer creates on the surface of the pastel board
