Asked to create a large painting with an underwater theme for a newly opening gallery in Washington DC, I found an inspirational photo online, obtained permission from the photographer, and created this piece of artwork. It is by far the largest piece I have done so far, in my first year of working with pastels. Previous largest work was only 18 x 24.
